Project Pan Finale!: 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd Products Completed

So instead of trying to keep up I sort of vanished for a while. I actually finished my project pan a while ago (and went over) and just never updated it to tell you guys. Hopefully I can keep up again because I missed you guys. I don't enjoy going MIA.

The 19th product I completed was my Biotherm Skin-Ergetic Non-Stop Anti-Fatigue Moisturizer. This was a great smelling day cream that definitely helped my skin to look more awake in the morning. It was a great anti-oxidant that uses  fruit and vegetable fractions and smells like peach. I did however find that this product clogged my pores often so I was forced to used my exfoliator more often to avoid black heads. I will not re-purchase this product again.

The 20th product I completed was my Shiseido Pureness Pore Purifying Warming Scrub due to the fact that I had to exfoliate so often. I loved the warming sensation that I felt while using the scrub. I wish there were more granuals but overall it was a good product. I would definitely recommend this pore people with oily/ combination skins.

The 21st product I completed was my Neostrata Eye Contour Smoothing Cream. Although it didn't do anything for my puffiness or dark circles I felt it helped with my fine lines and yes, milia. It uses an ingredient called Gluconolactone that is a moisturizing exfoliant which is why I noticed the difference.I would not repurchase this product purely because I have puffiness and dark circles as well :)

The 22nd product I completed was the Maybelline Cream Matte Powder. I FLEW through this stuff. I've never had a powder finish on my so quickly. It definitely helped keep me matte through the say but I found that I had to be careful not to apply too much otherwise it would look very powdery. I would definitely repurchase this product when I finish some of my other powders.

And finally, the third product I finished was my Dr. Brandt's Pores No More Cleanser. The salicylic acid in this product was great in the morning if my skin had a few break-outs but it did nothing to remove make-up. I honestly think this could be replaced with a less expensive product that contains salicylic and therefore I will not be purchasing it.

What's your go-to salicylic based cleanser that is cost effective?

And this completes my Project 20 Pan.

TAG: Confessions of a Blogger

I haven't been posting a lot recently as my lift has been hectic. I was tagged by Katie to do this so I thought I might as well give it a whirl.

When did you start your blog?
I started this blog in September 2012.

What you had any online presence before?
I started blogging in 2010 under a different profile.

Why did you start blogging?
I originally started blogging because I wanted a way to feel liable and keep track of my Project Pan progress. I may have taken on a bit more than I can handle.

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I'm still not super serious about it simply because I don't have the time to dedicate myself to it like I'd like to.

What was your first post?
My first post was indicating why I'm starting Project Pan and my rules.

What has been your biggest challenge about blogging?
I'm having a hard time keeping track of everyone's blogs. How do you guys do it? Advice?

Where do you see your blog in one year?
I'm not sure but hopefully at 200 followers. I might have to give it up though.

What is the most rewarding thing about blogging?
I love reading everyone's comments! I like to see other's people's opinions as well.

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
Honestly, making time to read other people's blogs. I really need to find a way to do it.

What's your lasting impression or motivation?
I really want to save money to buy a house, and now afford a wedding. I love seeing everyone's comments and love other people's opinions on products.

Any advice you guys can give me on trying to manage my time? What about you? How did you get started?

Eighteenth Product Completed: La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet

Hi everyone. I sort of back but will not be able to pay full attention to my blog. Since my absence I have finished my La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet Cleansing Body Cream- Gel. This cleanser is great for extremely dry, irritated skin subject to itchiness. I had a few incidents with getting itching fits this past week so I had to use this cleansing gel. Although it's great for stopping itching, it's kinda boring because there is no scent (which makes sense). I really only use this when I need to.

Overall, I would definitely repurchase this product. It has always proven to be an excellent solution during my times of need. If you have extremely sensitive skin, or have an allergic reaction to something, I highly recommend you try this.

Why I've been MIA

Hi everyone!

I've been kind of MIA the past week because there has been a lot of chaos in my life. Once everything calms down again I promise to commit more time here. I miss checking out your posts.

In short:

Work has been busy.
I'm engaged.
I got a new puppy.

Lush Bath Bomb in Cinders

I haven't finished anything in about a week and felt a little down so I decided to use one of my bath bombs. I save them for special days :P I used my Lush Cinders bath bomb.

This is was it initially looked like:

This product uses cinnamon leaf oil which gives a bit of a spicy, fruity scent if that makes sense at all. As soon as I place it in the tub it began to erupt and did so very quickly. It gave the water in the tub a warm yellow glow.

I will warn you though, you will be scrubbing the tub when you're done because it did leave a bit of a yellow film. Overall, this was a great product. Too bad Lush doesn't sell it right now.

What's your favourite spicy scent?

Making Your Perfume Last Longer

For those of you that aren't aware, I did a guest post for Jenna at The Chic Cupcake. You should definitely check out her blog! It's quite a bit different from what I normally post. Let me know what you think.

Here's the post:

Making Your Perfume Last Longer.

There’s nothing worse than spritzing yourself with perfume in the morning only for it to be gone by noon. Here are some tips to keep your favourite scent on you without it being over-bearing.

  1. Layer Your Fragrance! Is there a matching shower gel and body lotion for your favourite perfume? Use them. This way not only is your fragrance not being mixed with any other scent, it is giving it layers. Sometimes perfume doesn’t come with a matching set. No worries! Try and find products that have similar notes. For example, if you favourite fragrance is Jessica Simpson’s Fancy Love, try a vanilla body wash and moisturizer.

  2. Find the Hot Spots! The scent of perfume on your skin is activated by warmth. Because of this you want to apply your fragrance where your veins are most visible. These places include your:
    • Neck
    • Bust
    • Inner elbow
    • Inner knee
    • And wrists

  3. Bring Back-Up! Make sure to carry an atomizer with you that is filled with your scent. Touch up through-out the day when you find the scent is fading.
Now you’re ready to strut your stuff and have a beautiful scent follow you. Be careful though! Don’t spray too much as it can be over-powering and end up being offensive to some people.

What perfume are you planning on wearing on Valentine’s Day?

I think I’m going to go with my favourite- Chanel Chance Eau Tendre.
